Am I confused to pair these two together? For some unknown reason, I wanted to. They are both extreme, Therese having had ecstatic visions and Vincent for turning his paintings into ecstatic visions. I read a bit about him and he was dedicated to first religion and then art and painted at a feverish pace.  I have been told that yellow is the color of mental illness and perhaps that originated with Van Gogh’s love of this color. Anyway, I placed the two of them outside by these purple flowers and felt that if only they were alive maybe they could be healed somehow.
